I'm afraid armed cops would be more likely to use their weapons, and I don't want us dodging cross fires. I suspect your own officers have rules about when not to fire, while I am leery about these cops with guns.
I'd rather they put the goodies behind locked bars. They just broke windows and grabbed without any shots fired.
I hadn't paid attention to the soldier's weapons but figured they were for show.
Actually Por Esto says there was a shot fired. That is a problem with criminals. Not matter how careful you are to not make them mad, they slip in their gun discipline. Anyway though so if I follow your logic:thinking: :
1.Put the stuff behind bars. How will they sell it then? Someone has the key? So then they crack them in the head too?

Actually, if you don't want anyone around with guns, then perhaps the goodies should be much EASIER to get at. No reason to slow down or irate men with guns, especially if your goal is to let them get away. Everyone might get cracked in the head.:bonk::hurt::knocked-o Hey its only some chance of a skull fracture with complications when you are pistol whipped right? :whack: Worse if you lock it up, it might take so long that the cops and military WITH guns show up and we don't want that right?
2. Cops should be unarmed and run away if the perps have guns. So, if the crap in the stores is under lock and key, street robbery will be the way to go! Waive a gun and the cops leave.:ar15:
3. If training is an issues, then .... wait for it..... train them.:gun:
One of the reports said that the banditos were looking for that poor unarmed cop, because they knew he was there in pre-planning. Of course they weren't worried because he was unarmed, they just wanted to crack him in the head too I guess or worse.
Now if I was the Chicken Man,:bandit: I would think this worked well. I got all my stuff and got outta there with no one seriously hurt, so less attention. I would start recruiting my next gang of nit wits.:dunce::dunce::dunce: All have to do is convince them to be more careful getting away. After all, they are the only ones with guns so it is fairly safe.
I mean the bad guys on La Isla don't bother tourists, but if a narco guy WAS chasing me with a gun for whatever reason, I would be happy to have a municipal guy wing a couple shots at him to dissuade him.

Heck on Melgar you get the right angle and the ocean is your backstop.
I would hope that the military weapons they take on the their drugs raids are loaded and not just for show. I imagine the narcos guns are loaded. Of course the trafficantes do seem to carefully shoot their peeps on the Island so as not to bother anyone else. They don't seem to go for the American 'spray and pray' model.
