Just curious on diver's thoughts on Seismic testing on local marine ecosystems

Plan Approved to Find Faults Near Diablo Canyon The Santa Barbara Independent

Diablo Canyon is planning on using a high pressure sound gun to map out a newly discovered fault line close to the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power plant. I happen to dive out there whenever I get a chance. The Montana de Oro and Point Buchon off some absolutely amazing diving. Rich in plant, fish, and mammals it really is a well kept diving secret. I am amazed more people don't dive out here.

So is there any study or indication that creating high decibel sound waves 24 hours a day for a month is going to have an adverse effect on local marine wildlife?

What are your thoughts?
