Been there and done that. I love Punta Sur, but did not enjoy Devils Throat. Stay on top of the reef and see the pristine finger corals and much more sea life. There is a good chance the DM will let you do that while the rest go through the holes if he is confident in your abilities.

you will need to contact Christi via her business email...she does not conduct business on the board:)

I have been to Devils Throat/Cathedral/Puntu Sur many times....this is a fairly deep dive and restricts your bottom time....I would rather stay a bit more shallow and get longer bottom time just my 2pesos

We did Devil's Throat & did 140' & had a BT of 70 minutes.....actually finished aways down Columbia over a 'pack' of 6 spotted eagle rays.........using 120 steels with Aldora, that dive was a little over 1 year ago(middle of Oct. '06)....

Well, we did not get to do devils throat this past trip - still on my to do before I die list! We did dive the dos ojos cenotes on the mainland, it was pretty cool - ok, really cold but really neat.

Like I've mentioned before, it is just another excuse to go back to Coz. Although we will not be staying AI anymore - food is just too good in town in the local restaurants. The food at the Palace was really bad this year and I just dont drink enough to make it worth the extra $.
