SeaYoda:
The crab grab needs to be HERE.

I was thinking the same thing during the dive. there were freaking crabs everywhere.

I couldn't hardly move without one of those things skittering under or around me. At one point I was trying to get a shot of a filefish and one of those clawed buggers gave me a quick pinch on the elbow. I guess I got too close to HIS rock. We need to thin this population in a bad way :D.

I was watching you take pics and several times while you were taking a pic of one crab, another was snapping at your fins because you got too close to him.

I also thought "I wonder what would happen if PaulWall was on this dive. I could see him picking each one of them up and letting them go right in your face :D

I think these things remember PW and him teasing them. They seem to be rather touchy.

I was thinking, too bad you cant eat these things, I would never be hungry again.

Like Matt said, you can eat them. A pot of water, some Zatarains, some butter and some beer is all you need.

BTW... Since you're living 'down south' now, check out Deep Dixie Divers forum. You'll find out a lot of the happenings near the panhandle are planned there as a lot of the folks attending might be from Alabama, Miss, or GA.

Oh.. the law on harvesting them differs slightly be state, but basically you have to have a fishing license, meet size and creel limits, and you can't keep egg bearing females (crabs that is).

Oh man......sweet vis......jealous!

Is that a new style mask with the black bar tinting across the front in the first pic?? LOL Too funny....:14:
maybe they are embarressed about wearing a hood in such warm water eyebrow

Yea, as far as crabbing goes, we've gone a couple of times to the jetties and done it, pulled in a preatty decent load too.

Heh... that's our "Anonymous Scubaboard Member" on the dive. Identity hidden to protect the innocent (or guilty, you decide).

that is actually MDB, Mystery Dive Buddy. We didn't get to dive today. Went to the site, but just said hi to the two divers that went in. Sinus issues kept us from entering the water.
