Well another diving weekend in destin...

This time we did the Amberjack reef and a small reef just off of the entrance to the harbor (not done this before)..

Both were nice dives.. but the second reef had very different fish on it:

So.. some from the first dive:

The above is me trying to be artsy...best I can do.

Just another damsel fish.. yawn...

But the second reef was very different:

I call this "Plastic fish still life":

There were huge numbers of these guys:

and a baby..

Those green blue damsels I took pictures of the week before were there in giant schools... both medium sized ones.. and little tiny ones (they seem to be just blue when small):

Then, at the end of the dive... I practiced my stealth method on fish that one could shoot (just in case I ever decide to go back spear fishing)...

Here... using my best ninja moves.. I managed to get within a shooting range of a red grouper (which I figure is closer than 2 ft):

Shortly there after, found this guy:

This incounter ended rather tragically, shortly after this picture, when the dive knife I borrowed and the fish had an accident...

Then we drove to Panama City and did a nite dive on the black bart.. which at night looks just like it does during the day, except there are bristle worms all over the place... did not take picture..
