Would this be a good compressor to run a small booster? Specifically a USUN XB30-OL

Compressor has a 21gal tank and flow of 300l/min (79.25 gal/min). The oil less and dry air is what has me interested, just not sure if it's got enough capacity/flow rate.

no air is dry without either chilling it like crazy to get the moisture to drop out or a desiccant bed.

That looks plausible though. Edit what is the working pressure at 11 cfm I am guessing its fairly low pressure.

It's about 2HP just from converting the wattage of the 3 motors combined.
Just off that, I don't see it having enough volume.

Plenty to run it. I run a GB40 off a compressor that’s putting out 5.3cfm. The specs on the booster gas demand is if you run it full out.

Rig your booster to fit the comp, take it there and test it to see if you'll be happy with it for the next ten years

Booster, comp, pumping, and driving, and scavenging figures if you can even get them, all favour the positive

Dental tools are tiny and require a small fraction of the air volume needed to "run" a gas booster. 79 gal per minute spec is useless without knowing pressure. I've seen some chinese compressors that spec their volume output at 0 psi.

"Oil free" - make sure it is rated for continuous duty.

(Edit, .8mpa is about 116psi )

I asked a friend about his dental compressor.
He sent me this today.
I would suggest you change dentists

Compressor has .......... and flow of 300l/min

That's not quite true. The Chinese have a habit of lying on compressor data plates and customers an equal habit of believing the lie.

What it stated was I believe capacity 330 litres this is not the same as flow or the other con they also pull by quoting the pressurised volume in the holding tank (tank water capacity volume in Ltrs times x by the pressure in bar)

In fact even worse its the combined pumps displacement and again not the nearly same as flow
Each of the three pumps are double headed and the air displaced on each of the pumps added together
They do not quote the charging rate just the air displaced and this can be massively above and over the charging rate due to compression losses blow by heat and displacement etc of a poorly designed short stroke high RPM single acting piston.

In addition note the data plate has no date of Manufacture another misleading area another trick of the trade for the American importer to add whatever date they like.

Also note the heading on the data plate Silent Oil Free Air Compressor
Anyone think it's going to be silent. This again is quoted by our friends in China when the compressor tank is full and the compressor pump is switched off.

Again this is fine for a dentist as the dental tools don't use a great amount of air or pressure. So the volume tank filled in a morning before surgery will last most of the day before the compressor kicks back in allowing the claim in the Chinese manner of being silent.

You posed a nice concise detailed question Thank You. The USun is next

Anything can be a smoke machine if you operate it incorrectly enough.

Said with the same degree of accuracy and conviction as a Red Sea liveaboard operator.
Whatever next. Mirrors to go with the smoke? . LOL
