Well it looks like from these replies that I can't go wrong staying at Den Laman. Thanks, I look forward to DiveMaven's report!

I decided on Den Laman, but I won't get to enjoy it for 50 more days. (Flying out of Houston on 08/08/08; returning the 16th.)

Well dang, just missed you also.....beginning to sound like you guys (and gals) are avoiding me. :) We really need to do a SB meet on Bonaire sometime....anyone for next July??

I'm sitting in the Parrot Fish suite of Den Laman right now. This is an ocean front room. Everything looks brand new and up to date and very clean. I'm watching a "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie on a flat panel TV during a surface interval. It is very convenient to Bonaire Dive and Adventure dive shop for tanks. You cant go wrong here.

Does anyone know if the 2 bedroom units also have 2 bathrooms?

I was there in January and loved it! Yes the two bedroom suites have two bathrooms. My ONLY complaints were that the restaurant (although not the best food in Bonaire) was not open every night (particularly the only night we needed it to be open), and the shower in the bathroom was "open" meaning the spray from the shower head tended to flow all over the bathroom floor. But we would DEFINITELY stay there again. In fact, get them to show you the suite on the bottom floor. Four of us could have stayed there for the same price as three of us stayed in the standard two bedroom and the suite is awesome! However, you might also check into some B&B's. We have discovered since getting back there are several B&B's that provide the same type packages as the big name hotel/condos but lower prices. I will say having the dive shop and great Bari Reef onsite is a HUGE benefit, and the location is central enough that you can get anywhere from there quickly. Try the Hebrew Hotdogs and ice cream at the shops around the corner!
