[FONT="]Election to Fill Vacant A2 Category "Certification and Training Organizations" Seat to Begin March 12, 2010[/FONT][/FONT]<o></o>

[FONT="]DEMA has announced that its 2010 Special Board of Directors election will now take place from March 12 to April 12, 2010. The election will fill the currently-vacant seat in the A-2 (Diver Certification & Training Organizations) category. All 2010 DEMA members are eligible to vote. In order to ensure that a minimum of two nominees were on the ballot the election timeline was shifted from the dates released in this year's November Election release.[/FONT]<o></o>

[FONT="]Qualified write-in candidate nominations for the Board of Directors election will be accepted until 5:00pm Pacific Time December 29, 2009. There are two options for a write-in candidate to be included on the final election slate; the nomination may be proposed by a petition of 2010 DEMA Members that hold a combined two percent (2%) or more of the voting power of the Association; or the candidate may be written in by a petition that includes a minimum of ten (10) A-class (regular) 2010 DEMA Members.[/FONT]<o></o>

[FONT="]Those primary DEMA Member Voting Delegates interested in becoming a write-in candidate should contact DEMA at secretary@dema.org to request a write-in petition form. [/FONT]<o></o>
