Degray Dive Buddy?

Anybody need a dive buddy for Degray Lake? I'll be there week of June 19 and would like to make a couple of dives. Don't seem to be many options for Degray. Talked to Iron Mountain Marina and they don't do any type of diving expeditions on the lake.

Talk to Ocean Extreme and see what they can do. I believe that they have charters. What part of Louisiana are you from? I might be able to reference someone who goes diving frequently

I checked with Ocean Ext. they don't offer anything at Degray. I'm in southwest Louisiana.

Darn, well there's Bayou Divers based out of Monroe, I know they make frequent trips there and to surrounding SCUBA parks. Even if you are far from them you can still coordinate your schedule to theirs or something

Red River Scuba in Bossier City has a few trips to Degray and started doing some certification trips there so you can contact them as well

Last I checked all they do to DeGray was cert dives. But as far as I'm concerned they go to DeGray WITH Bayou Divers. I think that RRS focuses more on the students checkout dives while Bayou Divers focuses on diving. Talk to nfarrar on this board, he goes up there frequently

sorry i miss you

Was there 16& 17, someone from the dive shop in El Dorado Ar is on the lake every weekend during the summer.
There a lake cleanup the 3rd Sat. in Sept on Lake DeGray. There are two places to shore dive, one is in the picnic area at
highway 7, the other is at the Dam area across the road from the vistor center in the day use area, both area have platforms and someother things, of coarse spearfishing season open June 15.
