Working to find fins for more efficient results in back finning etc…than my SP go sports. Just having a hard time finding a good fit. I am a size 11.5-12 US slight wide. So far dive rite XT seem okay but will need XL. I really like the eddys but it feels like I toes are being pushed against the end of the box? Any suggestions ? Thanks

I also made the switch from Go Sports to a more powerful fin and found the same thing with Eddys. My feet are more skinny, so the correct size left my toes pushed into the end of the pocket with a gap all around the pocket opening. I went to XTs and found that fit to work for me, although most people seem to like the Eddy fit. I later changed to a beefier wetsuit boot and in hindsight that may have worked for the Eddys as well. What boots are you using?

At this point just 2mm mares with rubber, I will be dry suit diving so I might go heavier.

I use Hollis rock boots over neoprene drysuit socks, for wetsuit dives I went to the Fourth Element Pelagic. Both will be more substantial than the 2mm boots. I can make the XT fins work for both, and just shift lead around for trim.

What I have found for fit is that you want the fin pocket sized to be snug around your foot as opposed to your toes at the end. The Go Sports have open toe pockets so it’s not really an issue to get this right.

Yes going to keep the go sports for warm water. The new fins will for Monterey bay, the L XTs fit nicely with 2mm, so I might exchange to XL. I was just hoping for a shorter fin, they seem giant.

So many decisions so little time, 2mm in Monterey, a 2mm boot, 2mm is not a boot it's barely a sock be cool!

Stock Eddy springs were too short for my boots. Replaced with Hollis 2XL springs, the longest I could find.

Have you tried adjusting the spring straps? If you look at their connection point on the Eddy's you will see 2 additional pre-drilled holes that allow you to adjust the tightness a decent amount.

I have both the Eddy Flipper size L and the Go Sport Gorilla size L. The foot pockets are comparable but my toes also jam into the end of the Eddy. As to back kicks, I have no problem with the Go Sport, it does several different back kicks just fine. The Go Sport Gorilla is just so much more comfortable, whatever faults it may have I just make do.

You can see here that the foot pockets though comparable in most dimensions the Eddy pocket could use being a little longer. Heavier boots could solve the problem but I am not going to wear or size for heavy boots for warm water diving. I do like my Eddy Flips and am keeping them. The Eddy frogs better, the Go Sport G flutters better, every other kick including backing is about the same.

As to power, not sure what you guys are talking about, the Go Sport is slightly longer and has more blade area and is a relatively powerful fin. I do not see many people passing me into Cozumel current, maybe it has happened once or twice.
