I am just back from Bonaire for the first time and I felt I had to give this place a high recommendation. Being a traveler I know what it is like to get stuck at a lousy place so I think it only fair to give credit where credit is due.

We stayed at Deep Blue View, run by Menno and Esther. Granted it is not on the beach/ocean front but it has a beautiful view of the ocean from the top of the hill where they sit and a "Specialness" I haven't experienced before.

It is a small Bed & Breakfast style place with enormous amounts of hospitality. Esther is a wonderful cook and host, she accompanied me on a few dives when my hubby wasn't up to it anymore.

Menno saved me when my ear flared up and started giving me problems.

The rooms were very comfortable, the beds even, I don't know how many times I would have rather slept on the floor than the bed at other locations, but not here and you still had your privacy with a full bath of your own.

Great locker and equipment rinse area set up. The grounds are well kept, great hammocks to relax in under the patio with a slight breeze. Nice pool and lounging area.

Having the opportunity to meet with other Divers from around the world and discuss dives, restaurants and life in general was a nice break from the cattle call style hotel.

I would highly recommend the Deep Blue View to anyone visiting Bonaire.

Happy Diving :D

I second that!

My husband and I are returning, with our son, to stay with Menno & Esther in October. They are a "class act" so to speak. I always recommend DBV when folks post looking for places to stay.

Our son (20) is going to get his OW cert. there also. What a great place to get your cert!
