Deep6 does not restrict the sale of parts kits

Just over a year ago I made an enquiry to Deep6 about the schematics and service kits, and this is the response that I got:

Unfortunately the facility has yet to send the schematics of the excursion series to us so that is why they are not listed on the website. You may service your own regulators but you must complete our service clinic, via Zoom, or be a TDI certified regulator technician to be able to purchase the parts kits through the website. We are working on new exploded views but do not have an eta at this time.

The new service manual just came out not along ago and has the expanded schematics with it. I would contact Deep 6 again.

Different reg. Excursion vs Signature.

@stiebs if you call them and give them any kind of plausible case as to why you can work on regs then they'll send you a kit.

Don’t they use the same service kit?

in the OP’s case I would buy the Deep 6 signature, dive it service it in 2 to 5 years with the supplied kit, sell it in 3 years and see where the world stands at that point.

No I don't think so, slight differences although I'm not sure what. I have both and the kits have slightly different pieces... at least that's what I thought when I gave them a quick glance next to each other.

I think that if you can operate on one no issues doing the other. Maybe the sig has a few more pieces then the excursion but otherwise same parts?... Idk

I have not seen a schematic for the Excursion like the Sig has though.

@stiebs We just want to see you have some training, rob is an excellent instructor and his training is more than sufficient. He wrote the service manual.

Can you confirm if rebuild kits between Excursion / Signature are different or not?

From what I remember they were slightly different (but my memory is not trustworthy).

Thanks.

I’m thinking normal service kit may be the same in things like diaphragm, replacement seats etc. parts may be different, some o rings too possibly. I don’t know but it’s always nice if it works that way.
