Not all shops use crystal lube as required in the Regulator maintenance manuals. Some just use silicon lube if thier customers don't specify EAN. Bad on them!

Absolutely right, however its christo lube. I work on regs and always use christo lube on all regs, unless it's an old model with silicone in it already that they aren't using for EAN. All manufactures i know of assemble their regs with the stuff. That's why pretty much all new regs are EAN clean to 40%.
