SealifeJoe or anyone who has direct knowledge of upcoming macro kits at Sealife.....

I overheard that there may be plans to have an attachable macro lense for the Sealife DC1000. Might this be a possibility and if so, when?

Are there any macro lenses out on the market that might fit the DC1000? If not, are there adapters to make any macro lenses fit?

Looking forward to your response....

Eric

Eric,

Currently the DC1000 as well as the 800 macro down to 2" without any accessory lenses.

In the past, going back 4-5 years now, we had a Macro Set for our film and first generations of Digitals as their minimum focusing distance was 2-3 ft.

Hope this helps.

Joe

This is a picture from another thread taken with the DC1000... I could have gotten tighter even still, the limiting factor was flash placement (my flashes couldn't bend down that far)...

That's a 5/8ths nut head. I am curious what I could do with a "wet" magnification lens, but the lighting I think would be the limiting factor.
