Does anyone know if the Scuba Show at Wright State is going to be held this year? Heard that it was cancelled last year due to lack of volunteers. Would be happy to serve as a volunteer as would hubbie who is newbie diver. Tanks for any info.

If they have the show this year..It's a perfect time to buy used cylinders for next to nothing.

I'm hoping we'll be able to revive it in the next couple of years. The expo takes nearly a year of full time work to put together and with jobs and teaching responsibilities we just don't have anyone who can donate that kind of time. Hopefully as our teaching staff grows we'll be able to divide the planning labor into small enough "bites" that we can bring the expo back without stealing someone's life for a whole year.

All volunteers are appreciated and needed and will be used once we're able to get this thing rolling again. I'll be sure to post something when we do bring the expo back, keep your fingers crossed!

Yeah...I remember how much work goes into that. It really does take some time to get that off the ground and rolling. A ton of work and a lot of planning. We always had a bunch of students helping out, but the organizational effort that has to happen before that day is huge. Hopefully we'll be able to get it rolling again in the near future. We are growing with numbers of Instructors and staff. I know its a great place to get a bunch of gear for not a lot of $$$

Is there going to be a show this year? I hope so!!! My husband and I are willing to be volunteer workers.

That was a show up in Columbus....not the one at WSU...

The one at WSU for the time being is inactive, but usually is held last weekend of April-ish.
