Thanks Jim. That does make good sense. However the machine hasn't been used for what looks like 3 years. Also, the filter cartridges that are in it presently are badly hacked up disposables. The way that they look, the air would be able to bypass them. With the air bypassing the filter, i would most certainly get poor ratings on the air test? On your advice, have ordered the oe filters from august industries and plan to repack them, once they are spent.

The existing filters are dry to the touch with no oily residue on them at all.

Hi everyone,
I been trying to get more info on my Davey. I just got it two years ago with 25 hours on the meter. I have about now 99hr on the meter now. I know that you can replace the pressure relief values to make it pump up to 4500. Does any body know what parts needs to be replace to do this and where to get them? I use it for my paintball field. How often do you change filters? I just did because the first water separator filter nut had fallen off so the filter was not even working at all. Any advice would be great.
Thanks

Are you talking about the final seperator, in between the two large stacks with the check valve on top? It is a coalescer and the element inside doesnt need to be replaced unless damaged. It can be bought from august industries.

Is this compressor used only for paintball? If so, i would install molecular sieve filters in both stacks and use the dew point indicator installed to the left of the control panel to monitor when to change the filters.
The manual is available on ebay and highly recomended reading.

I have spent a great amount of time on this machine, so i do havenpretty decent knowlege of it now.

Its the first stage water separator in between the two dehydrators that the nut fell off. It must of vibrated loose some how. I blue lock tight it when I put it back together. I believe it is just a some what normal water separator then it goes to first stage then second stage dehydrators.

Do you know or any one else know how to replace the pressure values to make it pump up to 4500?

Hope this helps
