datamask users,
I bought the oceanic datamask today, i was wondering if anyone had any idea why the "si" time increases while not diving. I'm having a hard time finding an answer in the manual. Any help would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks!

Could it be the "Surface Interval" ? I don't have one, but it seems logical.

Regards

Richard (Riger)

Im going to guess but the SI is probably the surface interval or the time between dives. So after a dive this time would increase (not sure what the limit is) until the next dive is started (repetitive dive).

The computer will turn off after 2 hours if no dive is made - that timer (it is a surface interval timer) will let you know how long it's been activated.

That's how I'd interpret it. I have an oceanic computer, and it calls any time it's on but out of the water a surface interval.

fire, I am interested to see how many dives you get from a set of batteries. I got 30 dives in less than 60 days and mine died. Could be they were just old when I bought the mask .I don't know for sure. If you do have the same problem I would like to hear about it. Bosco

boscobc,
I will def. let you know, i will be making my first dive with it sunday, and will finish monday evening, don't know how many dives we will get in, but i'll let you know. Do you know if yours came straight from oceanic or did it come from your LDS, it may have just been an old batt. I'll talk to ya soon.
