DAN insurance on Cozumel

Depends on your profile. If you are using the "Standard" policy (which the person in the other thread was), it only covers dives up to 130ft/40M. Most profiles in this area are beyond that. The other policies have no depth limits.

I have dived Punta Sur on several occasions. Never exceeded 110fsw.

Gordon is correct. HIs maximum depth however was 70 feet and the dive was within table limits.

I also assume, based on the depth and the fact that it was his first dive, that he wasn't in the southern zone...
