I am an independent DAN instructor. On Saturday, 8 August 2009, I will be teaching the DAN Diving Emergency Management Provider (DEMP) Class for Scuba Specialties at their store in Phoenix at 4139 W Bell Road in Phoenix.

The DEMP course includes instruction in the use of AEDs and Oxygen for SCUBA diving emergencies, provides training in advanced techniques for providing oxygen to injured divers, and addresses the signs/symptoms and first aid for injuries from hazardous marine life. The course is very comprehensive and is a natural complement to rescue diver certification. It provides skills that are a must for dive professionals. Current CPR certification is a prerequisite.

If you are interested, stop by SCUBA Specialties to sign-up, or call Frankie Smith at 602-504-1112
