The annual DAN BBQ will be held at Portage Quarry, 14-16 Jul. It is a good excuse to pitch a tent, chat with other divers, and dive. The BBQ Dinner is usually on Sun and generally runs about 10 bucks or less for dinner. Usually there is a underwater scavenger hunt and a raffle. Any GLWC folks thinking about attending?

Robb, I believe Portage Quarry is just a little bit closer to us in Chicago then Gilboa. I believe it is near Bowling Green Ohio. Still a little far for me :-(

The couple next to me, who thought their tent was sound-proof, certainly thought it was a blast. It rained a bit last year, but I had fun!

If it doesn't conflict with my Lake Erie wreck dive trip, (can't remember exactly which weekend that is), I'll be there. We'll camp on the other side this year. (stereo) bwaaaaaaaaahahahahahahaha

What all do they have going on on saturday? I dont think we can make it on sunday.

I'm going up on friday. It is near bowling green. I need a dive buddy so far for the treasure hunt on saturday. it starts at noon and is 25.00 per buddy team plus the 10.00 admission to the park. Sunday is the bbq and raffle they also atart at noon and the cost is 16.00 which includes food, raffle ticket and admission. BTW park opens at 8 both days. If anyone is interested and needs a buddy pm me. for my qualifications see my other post in this forum. Jim
