Dahab - Planet Divers and Red Sea Relax

Has anyone recently dived with either Planet Divers (and stayed at Planet Oasis), or Red Sea Relax? And if so, what did you think?

Im headed to Dahab in 2 weeks, and am doing some price comparisons.

I am comparing them to reef2000 and the beduin moon hotel, which has an excellent reputation. And Im trying to work out why Planet Divers is so much cheaper than reef2000.

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I may reccommend Planet Divers. I didn't dive with them but a lot of my friends did and the opinions are great. They as the only ones in Dahab have trimix and nitrox, technical instructors and the best quality of air.
All technical dives including the very deep dives done in the Blue Hole are backed up by Planet Divers.

It has been awhile since I was in Dahab, but I like Nesima and The Bedouin Moon, the other two operations were relatively new when I was living there, the Bedouin Moon had just opened, friends were operating the Bedouin Moon at the time and there support and expetise were always greatly appreciated.

Don't know about Planet Divers or Red sea relax, But I just got back from staying at the Nesima hotel and diving with Reef 2000.
I would definitely recommend them both. Very relaxed and friendly atmospheres, especially at Reef, where nothing was too much trouble.

I have been in Dahab several times (used to work in Sharm and got sick and tired of it... next thing to do is head to Dahab.)

I know about Red Sea Relax and Planet Divers. Both dive schools are tip top! Red Sea Relax has British and Kiwi dive instructors, all ex-forces. This is why I experienced the to be very good and reliable.
Red Sea Relax has just opened a resort in Dahab, not under Egyptian Management... this is a good thing! but under Britisch management, the owner is from +44 !

Poseidon Divers does a lot with Tech diving and has trimix as well. Many of the other dive schools have nitrox....

I was last in Dahab in 2000, and there was only one dive centre offering trimix, at the southern end of the strip. Where is Planet Divers? Are there now (2008) any other trimix centres?

Planet Divers are near the Lighthouse

Lots of dive centres now offer trimix, just off the top of my head: Reef2000, Fantasea, Poseidon, Orca and of course Planet Divers
