Hi Steve and welcome to the Board. I assume you are not the famous Steve Young, the football player, because you are on a budget!
Sorry but I don't know anything about the Dacor Darwin other than LeisurePro.com is selling the wrist model for $239.
But if you can afford to spend another $85 you can buy the Suunto Vyper, which is a favorite of many of the members of this Board. My wife and I just bought one.
You can learn quite a lot about diver computers in general and the Vyper in particular by using the Board's search feature.
