Hi all,

I've recently acquired a D4i used, which requires a battery change.

I've bought the battery change kit (battery, O-ring, silicone grease).

Having spoken to a few divers, they say it's worth paying 5x the amount to get it changed at an authorised shop. However, having looked online at all available videos and tutorials, it seems super easy to change.

I guess my question is, it seems very simple to change the battery... how hard/easy is it to mess up a battery change?

I changed mine just watching the videos. No problems at all. There is always the possibility you miss a particle on the o'ring but I´don't trust anyone in mexico to change it and I don't believe they would make a better job than me. I few month later and many dives after I change the battery.... I lost the tham thing :) so you never know.
