Hi All

I wish to know which of this 3 computers is the most conservative and Liberal. Reason being I have read up some lately and am confused.

I read h t t p://w w w.advanceddivermagazine.com/video/diveriteq.html", it suggests that Geo 2 and Nitek are the most liberal and Suunto most conservative.

When I read h t t p ://w w w.scubaboard.com/forums/computers-gauges-watches-analyzers/326143-two-gas-vs-three-gas-computer-2.html", someone suggests that Nitek is the most conservative compare to the DC his peers are using. I have no idea where his stays and what DC his peers are using. My peers are using Suunto. I just do not wish to use a more conservative computer than them. I rather they sound the alarm to ascent then me doing so.

I am looking more into Nitek as it comes with a digital compass and it is cheaper than a geo 2 as there is a promo now.

I am staying in sg and didn't hear anyone talking about a Nitek.

Please advise.

Geo 2 is going to be the most liberal, when using the DSAT algorithm. Suunto's are on the more conservative side but I can't tell you where the Nitek is, though Google seems to indicate that Buhlmann (Nitek) is a bit of a middle ground between DSAT and RGBM

geo 2 has choice between dsat and z+ which is buhlmann. dsat is probably the most liberal but the difference between than and the buhlmann is mostly at shallower depths.

If you mean will the computers give different NDL times as a result of multiple dives a day then the answer is yes. Based on reading online (including a DPC comparison from scubadiving magazine that I can't find anymore) the subsequent dives are where the differences in algorithms really show up.

**edit** found the scubadiving.com comparison: http://www.scubadiving.com/files/old/images/pdf/200806_chambertest.pdf
