I'm wondering if anyone else on the board will be on the Cypress Sea on Saturday Sept 25 for the 7am trip. If so, it would be cool to meet and put faces to cyber-names.

I often get seasick on that boat, since it sits so high out of the water, compared with the Monterey Express and the Escapade. Last time I checked, it did not have a ladder yet either. The Express and the Escapade are more comfortable to dive from.
AnyWater Sports, the owners of the Express, is probably the best dive store in all of Northern California. However they could have made a better choice in dive boats.
