I just cut the body off of a yellow jacket that was trying to sting me... I dropped the scissors that I chopped him in half with to grab the phone, 15 minutes later I go pickup the scissors and the head and upper arms are still attached. It was still alive, w/o it's body! I played with it for about 20 minutes and it was trying to eat the end of a pen.. crazy! Can all insects do this? (I didn't pay much attention in school)

By the "body" do you mean the large part at the end (the abdomen)? If so then most insects can do that - the important bits are in the head & the thorax (abdomen is mostly digestive organs). It will eventually die, by insect anatomy isn't quite as centralized as ours, so there isn't too many places who's damage = instant death.

My exwife did the same exact thing!..... JUST KIDDING! but I bet she would.

Insects have become extremely resilient lately. It's getting a little unnerving... :11:
