Dash and paradicio,

Call New Wave. She (Theresa) can alter both suits to fit. Or She can make a custom one for about two hundred.

She has made three suits for me and I really like her.

I didnt think about having them alter the Bare suit. I guess I just think that doing so would somehow reduce the durability somehow. COnsidering they would have to add material, it seems like there would be stitches everywhere.

I guess Ill call and ask.

Don at M&B in Long Beach has had a great reputation for making great custom suits for the last 30 or 40 years.

I'm not sure what they cost these days.

I ordered a wetsuit from Don at M&B.
I got the last of the last Rubatex G-231 but all he had was 7/16" (12mm)
It's a commercial urchin diver suit, beaver tail, attached hood, kevlar on the knees and elbows, 3/4 zip w/ stainless clasps, and I'll tell you it is one damn nice suit. His craftsmanship is outstanding!
It's too damn warm for socal, but it works for norcal when the water's in the 40's. It's made for commercial work where you're in the water for 4 to 6 hours at a time. It's murder for beach dives though, too thick. But once underwater with a little pressure on it, it loosens up just fine. My friends make fun of me and call me the Peterbilt truck tire man.
I'd get another one from him in a heartbeat. He does have several other options as far as neoprene goes. There's some stuff out of china now that's fairly close to rubatex but not quite the same. It's still nice stuff. I was thinking of getting another one made of thinner neoprene for lobster diving.
I have to warn you though, it wasn't cheap, about $1088 with tax and shipping, but that was for that thick suit. I don't care, that rubatex will last for years provided I don't get fat. I guess that's good incentive to stay in shape eh?

It is not just the suit but how good the measuring is. My wife has a JMJ and its wonderful, the person who measured her was professionally trained and probably does 50-100 suits a month (military).

One thing that you need to consider, the fit of the suit is very important to having it work, since many women vary in size frequently this could present a problem.
