I overheard a discussion at my LDS the other day concerning a company that will apparently make custom sized scuba masks. Has anyone heard of such a thing? From what I understand, they send you some sort of impression kit and you make an impression of your entire face and they mold a silicone mask out of that. I am a "big" :D faced person and I even have problems getting what are considered to be the large masks to seal properly. I always get leakage from the corner of my eye sockets.

Any info would be great.

Thanks
David

I hadn't heard of it. But I guess there's a market for everything.

Seems like the vast majority of people could find an off-the-shelf mask that fits. If you have a larger face, try a Cressi Big Eyes or Matrix. They seem to be a bit big...too big for me.

Everyone who has tried my Mares X-Vision has had it fit. Might want to try that. It seems like a pretty generally fitting mask.

What do custom jobs cost?
