I get my air at A.A.D. "All American Divers" on the corner of beach and quartermaster. I also recommend them for rental gear. They will also help you hook up with a dive buddy if you are looking for someone to dive with. Talk to Kats. I have never looked into diving with them though. Speedy seems to be the shop of choice for most Americans new to the island. They have a active website which makes them easier to deal with.

As far as who else is on island, the list is long. There are 30 to 50 shops all over the island.

Mark is correct there are lots of dive shops on Saipan but only one has English speaking DM's. A.A.D. (All American Divers) only has one person in the shop that speaks English and that is Kat's. None of their guides speak English only Korean.
When are you going to be in Saipan again? Send me a PM if you need a dive buddy.

Still on a little rock in the Pacific

Im hoping to be back in Saipan again next month and would like to dive Grotto again. Speedy Tertle doesnt rent gear to non-locals without them being with you, so im looking to rent through someone else. Any suggestions?

A.A.D. should rent you gear. I've sent someone there to get gear and a air and they had no problems. If you will be diving on a weekend You're welcome to go with my wife and I.

Thanks for the replies guys. According to AAD's website, they wont rent to non-locals without a staff member "Escorting" you. I used to be a local in Saipan and i know just about all the dives. Do you guys know of any other operators besides AAD and Speedy Tertle?

If you still have your CNMI driver's license, they should rent to you....

Never had a CNMI drivers license while i was living out there because i didnt have a car for most of the time i resided in Saipan, but thanks for the suggestion.

They cost about $25 and it only takes a few minutes. It can also get you (local)discounts on dinning if you are here from time to time.

Sounds like a plan, thanks. Where do you go exactly to get the DL?
