IT'S DRYSUIT SEASON!!!!!

I feel for you poor ******* diving wet...

All you gotta do is buy one. After that, you will never regret it.

Five exclaimation points? Wow... you must get cold easily.

Don't feel bad for me. I have a custom tailored wetsuit with very little in the way of extra room. I brought a gallon of hot water to pour in it if I decided I was too cold, and never ended up using it. The water's fine for diving wet if you have a good fitting suit.

I suppose I could run out and buy a dry suit, but I have adequate exposure protection now, so I don't see the point in throwing money at a problem that doesn't exist. I don't think I'd do much winter diving even if I had one.

Of course, if the idea of me diving wet makes YOU cold, all you have to do is buy me one. :D

I'm a little unsure what the filtered word is. I know of only one 7 letter bad word, and I'd hope that Lubold didn't call us that. Perhaps it was "female dog" + "es." Still not very nice!

I've decided I'm going to wait another week before I get in the water. My new drysuit will be here at that point, so I can dive in relative comfort.

All kidding aside, Matt...you'll be amazed at the difference in a drysuit makes.

How was vis at Stage Fort? The last (and only) time I was there, it was like 6 inches. I got scared by lobster trap!

Vis ranged between 2 and 8 feet. It wasn't great, but I just wanted to get the two dives done for the cert.

I'm sure dry suits are lovely, but right now it's pretty low on my dive-accessory priority list. Certainly way behind a dive kayak with GPS.

I know the feeling. My nitrox class was in february, but I still haven't done the OW dives because I'm too wussy to hop into cold water wet.

Mmmm....Dive Kayak...*Droool*

I'm thinking a zodiac would be nice, too.

Yeah... a zodiac would be nice, but I think this should do just fine for what I need.

Works juuuuuust fine;)

that I say to all my buddies : I'll take you when you come help me get the boat set-up, organized, cleaned and outfitted and afterwards help me clean, fuel up, organize and put the boat away. Also help split the gas money and, in the case of one buddy, when you pay me for the anchor and line that you threw overboard without cleating off first:D

Now, you still want to go?:) I only have a few people who I invite back since for some reason, when we hit the dock after diving, everyone seems to vaporise and people seem to be very busy when they hear I'm working on the boat. Not that I'm bitter or anything;) I really like maintaining my boat for others diving pleasure. lol :)

That sounds pretty cool.. I've never had a boat to work on. Maybe I'll take you up on that and go out there for a weekend, help you out on the boat, and maybe go for a dive or two :)
