Westpunt really isn't that big. You can walk to the dive shop from All West (approx a mile, less if you use a short cut).
There are a few places to eat in town; Rancho Sobrino, Jaanchies, Misje, Sol Food, and the Lodge Kura Hulanda. All within walking distance (Misje another 1/2 mile further). Who ever gives you a ride to AW will stop at the store so you can make your own breakfast and lunch. Quite often you can BBQ with other guests at the apartments on the common balcony.
You can shore dive in the Bay in front of the apartments or in front of the dive shop/Lodge. There are other nice shore dives and it is possible to rent a car from (Louis) AW or the Lodge for a couple of days. We find the divers to be very laid back and friendly here. Often they get together for a dive or two. The rental trucks easily hold 4 people and gear.
It kinda sounds like you want the 2 tank morning boat for 5 days. With shore dives at the aparments and dive shop in both directions plus a repeat of your favorite, you'll be all set even without a car.
There is more nightlife (other than a night dive) if you stay at Lions Dive and you could take a bus to town.

For Walking from your lodging to the beach There are a lot of possibiliyties e.g. Lions Dive hotel, Royal Resort, Cabana Beach, Bon Bini resort, all at sea-aquarium beach with restaurants for local and non local food.

Allmost every area have hotels restaurants and beach all within walking distance. We provide a pick-up service so that's can be convenient.
