Do you still have to pay at the old plantation to get to the Playa Son Mosa-Playa Mansalino area?

Thanks! Same fee as in 2002.

Thanks for all the help. We have decided to rent a car and go to Porto Marie. There is a shop there that we can rent tanks from and they have guided dives. Our 18 year old daughter does not dive so this seems like a good place for her to hang out and swim/snorkel while we dive. We are also going to go with the Dive Bus. I have already contacted them. The kids also want to go to the Osterich Farm. Does anyone know if this is on the way back to Breezes or close to Porto Marie?

Curacao is a fantastic island with plenty of easy enough shore dives. I count about 20 just in the western part (Banda Abou). All the positive comments on this thread are deserved. We made our choice to live and work here because the island is very unique and the diving is great. Another operator to throw into the mix works out of Landhuis Daniel and is called Trunk Divers, 110% knowledgable, nice folks and they go everywhere. Enjoy New Year's on our island and if you don't mind the crowds find a spot of the floating bridge to enjoy a terrific fireworks show with the locals!

If you're staying at Breezes, the house op is Ocean Encounters. Boat diving, fairly large groups.
If you prefer small groups, then The Dive Bus is right across the street. Mark & Suzy are great. We did 10 dives with Mark in early November.
Depth will not be an issue. The typical Curacao dive is: walk into the water, surface swim 20-30 feet to the edge of the reef. Decend, follow the reef out to the wall. Drop down to 50-60 feet and drift along the wall tilll someone is at half a tank. Then come back up to the top of the reef and follow it back to your entry point. There's no safety stop, since you're following the bottom contour back up. You'll spend ample time in the 15 ft range.
The Dive Bus is a regular poster here. Sue and I endorse them without reservation. You'll have a great time.

Ditto this post completely......

we stayed at the breezes and ocean encounters is expanding and doing well..nice dive staff...

But you want personal attention.....a guide that looks out for you and really enjoys the whole time with you...DIVE BUS..........Mark is a real card and Suzy...is a darling......
