Thinking about sites that have tank rentals etc working your way west...

Piscadera
Kokomo (Varsenbaai)
Porto Marie
Cas Abou
Lagun (which could also be used for Jeremy right around the corner)
Go West at Kalki

I *think* that's it. The many other shore dives out that way would require you to bring gear/tanks. I never have problems with spare air tanks in the car, but maybe I just get lucky a lot!

Wow thanks for the recommendations...Scubaboard is such an amazing community resource!

I'll be there at the same time (May 25-30), we are staying at the Marriott and renting a car to drive out west. Planning on car pile, tug boat, Marriott Reef, and looking for another solid reef option.

Playa Kalki is the best shore dive we did all week. It's in Westpunt maybe 45 mins. from the Marriott. Go West Diving is on-site. The dive is different in both directions, we liked to the west better - seemed more vertical. Lots of fish, eels, different types of lobsters, good dives.

Slightly closer is Playa Lagun - there's often Turtles there. Discover Dive is at the entrance if you need tanks. Just past it is Playa Jeremi so you could do both easily in a morning. There's no facilities at Jeremi.

Varsenbaai is another option that's slightly closer. The pontoon boat they used to create some of the carpile site is perched at 80' off the reef there. We also saw seahorses near the mooring and turtles in the shallows. And squid near the dive dock. There's a dive operator on-site - IDK the name. There you'll pay a few guilders to use the facilities.

The best part of the Tugboat is the wall around the point - lots of eels and fish. The Tugboat itself is only 20' down so it makes a good safety stop area. The pier is supposed to be good also but we didn't know it at the time. You know it's east of Willemstad right?

My friend's wife used to guide on Curacao - she recommended Snake Bay - we didn't get there though.

If you've never been there, the Marriott is one of the better ones I've been to. Nice beach, pool area, small casino, Caribbean Sea Sports on-site for diving. We had a good meal there our last night at the restaurant right on the sand. Piscadera Bay is quieter at night, Pirate Bay is good for lunch/drinks also - they have music some nights. Thank you for the great advice! Just got back and it was a great trip. The Marriott was top notch, people were friendly, and diving was excellent.

We did the Marriott reef as a warmup; it was decent and convenient with a dive shop onsite. We did tug boat and the bay, my favorite dive of the trip, especially under the pier and the ledge around the corner to bay. At this site we saw an extremely large eel as well as a turtle. We did two tanks at Playa Kalki and the reef was excellent with the clearest vis of the trip. Rounded it all out with a trip to Snake Bay, which wasn't nearly as nice as the other reefs but had the largest fish of all the spots. We rented a car and did all of these dives on our own, and this worked out well for the most part, however there was a festival at the tug boat location so roads were blocked which required some off road exploration in our rental. Dive shops at Marriott, Playa Kalki, and Tugboat were extremely helpful and knowledgable, however no dive shop at Snake Bay.
