t4e did they take you out on a small boat and have you dive back to the beach? Was there much current?

We were signed up for this trip but I got delayed overnight in Miami, so did not make it. Too bad as it sounds like a fun outing.
 
both dives are out of the same dinghy boat, big enough for about 15 ppl, on the first one you swim to the big boat, assemble your gear and get on the dinghy, depending on how the current is you either get back on the dinghy or get out at the big boat then swim to shore, second dive you get out at the big boat and stay there till everyone boards to head back
 
Another really good option is setting up some dives on the west side of the island and taking your family with you to those beaches. One of the best west side operators is Bas Harts Diving. They are flexible and will work with you on diving at some great remote reefs and beaches and can work it out to take your family along. Here is their website -> BasHartsDiving.com
