We five from the catskills + the daughters boyfriend in law staying and diving the house reef at playa lagun june 25 - july 3
I'm sure we will venture out from there. charting shore dives with safe parking and easy access on that side of the island.
Maybe a boat dive or two. 6 on the boat x 5 days = I'm broke

Your leaving three days before the wife and I get there for two weeks. We're staying at all west.

Hope you have a great trip.

Planning first trip to the ABC's late August for two weeks. Bonaire pops up as the must-do island, but Curacao seems to have a lot of appeal for folks. I am traveling from Toronto, Canada so airfare is expensive direct to Bonaire but cheaper if I bounce through Curacao (or Aruba) before Bonaire. I agonize over whether to spend a week in Curacao (thanks for Ocean Encounters dive op reco- would be my choice) and a week in Bonaire (selected Buddy Dive). I am sure I could spend two weeks diving either and be happy, but both would be shore-diving reefs mostly....Aruba for a week diving wrecks might be better variety.

Hoping for feedback from folks that have sampled all three of the ABC's. Island hop all three, Curacao and Bonaire, or stick to 2 weeks at C or B?

I'll be there 6/29 to 7/3 but i'll be on the other side of the island at the Hyatt. Can't wait!

Just got back from two weeks at the Kura Hulanda Lodge in Westpunt. Had the ocean front studio. Great views. Try diving from the All West reef to the lodge it can be done on one tank. Reef is in great shape and worth the time. Watamula is another super dive but should be done by boat. The island is as green as every with the morning rains. No worries, it clears up and life goes on. Enjoy!

Well Curacao has definetly more than Bonaire. Restaurants, entertaining, attractions besides diving. Curacao has about 85 divespots. Most of them on the southside and an easy shoreentry. That's why we mostly perform shore diives, and the trip to the dive spot brings us to all kinds of scenic roads and interesting areas. That's one of the benefits by traveling by car. And for the veariety we have some great wrecks over here too. So interested send me a message and i'll give you all the information you want.

Happy dive planning
