I have not been diving with OEW yet... I was just comparing the "written information" that I have seen with my personal experiences on Bonaire. Bonaire has always been a very positive experience for me....
I know that the two islands are different but yet I was somehow expecting "similiar experiences".
Don't get me wrong... I am so excited about being able to go to and to dive in Curacao... We will be there on Saturday... I can hardly wait....

Bryan, Thanks for the update... life gets busy....

I am going to think about the positives and not try and compare Curacao to Bonaire....

My wife and I had a great visit to Curacao last November, staying at Lodge Kura Hulanda and diving with Ocean Encounters West. The boat dives with OEW were quite good, especially Elvin's Plane Wreck and Watamula. Rediho and Santa Cruz were also quite good. Our average boat dive time was 65 minutes (61-70 minutes). I never felt particularly pressured to stay on schedule but I was aware there was one and tried to cooperate.

The shore dive at Playa Kalki (Alice in Wonderland) is phenomenal, among the best shore dives I've done and very competitive with Bari Reef or similar on Bonaire. I preferred the dive to the right but to the left was also very good.

I'd return to Curacao in a minute, great island and very good diving.

I'll just miss you as I arrive Jun-29. This will be my third time back to Kura Hulanda and diving with OEW. My last trip was this past Nov with my family of divers. Now I'm going back with a friend and his son. You will not be disappointed with OEW. Hey Bryan see ya soon!

Sitting at Lodge Kura Hulanda right now.

Great dives with OEW the last ten days. They could not be more accomodating. We are having a blast.

Found what we think is a Purple Spotted Sea Goddess yesterday at Alice in Wonderland. Awesome baby!! And the house reef seahorse is still hanging around.

Headed to Sol Food for dinner a little later.

Awesome trip thus far.
