My wife and I are thinking of staying in Curacao for two weeks in August. Does anyone have any current trip reports for staying at All West and diving with Ocean Encounters? We'll mainly be shore diving by ourselves with a rental car but we'd like to take the trip out to Klein Curacao at least once. Is it worth it?

Additionally, we kinda want to do the helicopter dive offered by Dive Charter Curacao. Has anyone actually done one? Is it worth it?

Unfortunately the "Helicopter Diving" with "Dive Charter Curacao" is no longer available!

The helicopter company "Blue Skies" went out of business.

The trip to Klein Curacao is a great day out, but the diving is not that spectacular, although you are pretty much guaranteed to see turtles.

In my opinion diving the "East Point" of Curacao is a much better option, if the diving is the main criteria.

PacoRocco6,
Did stay at AllWest in November and was very happy with the place. Ocean Encounters supplied the tanks. did do a Watamula dive trip. we were taken out to sea and saw nothing but blue. If i go back I would stick with shore diving but the trip to klein I would be open to.
I was going back this winter but decided to go back to Bonaire instead. dive flag thing was last bit for me. I did enjoy the diving and Sunshine and her place are great.
Spoiled by Bonaire as this will be trip 11. But have very fond memories of ALLWest and the diving!!!

Love All West but they fill up fast so book as early as you can. As far as boat trips, I would highly recommend Watamula and the mushroom forest as must dives. Ocean Encounters supplies the tanks and weights for All West but you can also get tanks in the scuba room at All West. In fact, there is a great dive site right behind All West. It is perfect for night dives. As far as Klein, I haven’t heard enough to interest me in diving there. There are too many great dive sites around the island for shore diving that ties up my two week visits.

We did All West/OEW last year and liked it so much at we are returning this year. Excellent value for the price. Although the boat dives were great, the shore dives were just as excellent, so we are shore diving only this year.
