I wanted to ask if anybody has any insight on the Hilton in Curacao and the dive operator on premises called Seascape Dive and Watersports?

We already booked the Hilton BUT I have not booked any dives yet.

Also - how is the shore diving at the Hilton? I have 3 days of diving - worth spending a day there or just go for the boat dives?

Other info: Feb 12th - 17th are the trip dates. Wife does not dive so I can't spend too much time traveling to and from dive sites. I have all gear except tanks/whgts. Been diving 3-4 years w/ 30-40 dives under my belt (Costa Rica, Cancun, Hawaii, NJ, FL, and PA quarries).

Thanks!

Hi... not sure about Seascape... but we are Ocean Encounters and we will be more than happy to shuttle you back and forth free of charge if you purchase a boat diving package.

We are your One Stop Dive Shop!!

Check us out at Curacao Scuba Diving PADI - Ocean Encounters

Any questions, please PM me! I'll be happy to answer any questions.

Looking forward to seeing you!!

Dive at the Marriott right next door. They have a FIRST CLASS operation. Nice boats and crew. You won't be disappointed. There is an awesome night dive off the Marriott.

Hi Jeepster,
You can go with your wife to Caracas Bay, Varassenbai, Lions Dive, Habitat, Sunset Waters, Porto Marie, Cas Abou, Daibooi, Lagun or Kalki and a number of the other sites. She can snorkel and you can dive from shore; they all have a shop with air and weights. Then you can have lunch together at these sites. With your drive time together it will be like you were never apart so you may get in a couple of extra dives. Similar to the Dive Bus, most of the shops will sell you a guided dive if you can not hook up with a dive buddy. If you come out to Westpunt or Lagun, call us; we're always, especially David, up for a dive.

And I always recommend the Dive Bus....
They pick you up at your door...

Thanks everybody for all your comments so far! Are the shore dives that different from Hilton to Marriot since they are adjoining properties? Also, is the Mariott that much better of an operation that it is worth lugging my gear over there?

Thanks again.

I was at Caracasbay yesterday afternoon and I second the shore dive options.

There's a number of local dive operators that can help you out on the shore dives as well.

Enjoy your time on the island.

the hilton beach is an ok dive. There's a steep drop and not much coral. There is a little penisula seperating hilton from Marriott, the reef is better on the marriott side. We got our tanks from Hooks Hut next to Hilton great food and the dive accross the channel is cool(watch the current and tide though) Tanks are cheeper at Hooks and they have Nitrox.

I'm staying Hilton Curacao, Week of April 27th and looking for diving options. It will be our first time to Curacao. We've dove for years in Bonaire and want to give Curacao a try.
Looking for updates to this thread on options of on site resort at Hilton. I haven't found any info on web on rates for boat dives, tank rentals, if rent Nitrox, sites they dive, etc,.
I'm not interested in only boat dives and want to do shore dives. (like Bonaire) Won't have truck.

Will be my wife and teenage daughter diving. I'll probably be doing more diving as they want to relax and sun themselves.

Look forward to updates
