Watamula is arguably the best boat dive on Curacao that's easily reachable on a 2 tank trip. Playa Kalki/Alice in Wonderland about the best shore dive we did all week. Both ways are different so you can do a pair of dives there. Conveniently
Go West Diving goes to Watamula weekly and is situated
on Playa Kalki in Westpunt.
We also liked Playa Lagun (turtles), Playa Jeremi, Porto Mari (good double reef), Varsenbaai (turtles, seahorses, wreck), and the Tugboat (small wreck, better part is the wall around the point left of the "beach") east of town. All shore dives. Playa Jeremi is the only site with no facilities - all the others have an on-site dive operator.
Another good site is the old Habitat dive resort site -
Diveversity just opened there. It's in Coral Estates. I call it Nos Kas but IDK if that's correct. Probably a lot more pristine since the resort closed several years ago. We saw big Moray Eels south of their dock - more than once.
The only boat dive we did was Lost Anchor - we were talked out of going to Mushroom Forest by our DM since he said fish life there is a little sparse. But MF is one of the signature Curacao dives. If you go, snorkel the Blue Cave between dives - most operators offer that option. There's also the Dolphin Dive at Ocean Encounters at Lions Dive. It's $200pp.
Are you looking for escorted shore dives? The
Dive Bus is often recommended for that. By me and many others. Another option is
Relaxed Guided Dives - they also have a tank fill/rental on the main road a little west of town. It's probably convenient because we drove by it about a dozen times...lol. We rented tanks from
Discover Diving in Lagun - they have a drive up dock.
Ocean Encounters has several nice
boats. So does
Go West. Caribbean Sea Sports has one that's a
jet boat - no props. More than anything it depends where on the island you're staying.
