I have done diving in everyone of those ports. I go to Bonaire every year for a week. If I was diving on the trip and could only pick one port it would be very difficult but it would be between Curacao and Aruba depending on what you wanted to see.

Aruba- the airplanes are really cool. A fully sunken airplane you can swim inside and through plus a few other airplane wrecks. Memorable. But make sure you get to dive that spot. Try Fly N Dive.

Curacao- I would go to Dive Bus and dive their house reef, 2 tanks. It is at Car Pile and you can easily do 2 or more dives on this site. It is a very easy shore dive and lots to see for divers and snorkelers. Look up Car Pile on dive sites and you can see and read about it. Dive Bus is a great organization and you can take a cab there very easily.

If I had to choose I would choose Dive Bus. Really liked that dive. I have heard very positive comments about Ocean Encounters as well but I don't know about them personally.

Grand Turk is nice but not as good as the other two sites, but there isn't much to do there so why not dive on 2 stops. GT is on the expensive side for diving as well. Go with Grand Turk Divers.

Enjoy

Hello,

with all the good info received and read from scuba board, we have decided to do independent shore dives. We only have one day in Bonaire and one day in Curaçao. I tried to rent a car in Bonaire and Curaçao but due to the dates ( dec 23 and 24) I can't get a car for one day. Can anyone provide suggestion on dive sites accessible via dive shop and taxi? Please keep in mind it also needs to be not too far from cruise ship pier in Bonaire and Curaçao and was hoping to do more than one 2 tanks dive in Bonaire and Curacao.

I thought I could use dive friends in Bonaire and get a taxi to two of their locations ( this would allow me 4 dives). Does this sound like a good option?

Thanks in advance.

You can easily do Dive Friends. That is who I dive with in Bonaire. You can walk there from the cruise ship, about a block or two at most. There is a reef right off their shop and you can get 2 or 3 tanks easily. If you want some different dives in Bonaire try hooking up with Dive Friends for one of their boat trips to Klein Bonaire. They have another shop on the other side of the town and a taxi would be 4-5 min ride from the pier. Klein Bonaire is amazing. That shop is called Dive Friends Yellow Submarine. If you contact them try Caroline@dive-friends.com Tell her Fuzzy sent you (Mark). She's a great person and will really take care of you

I spent a week with the car pile right out front of the resort and I didnt dive it. If we go back I am going to try to dive it but some great other dives in Curacao

You missed a really great dive. I bet there are loads of great dive in Curacao, but for cruise ship passengers that don't want cattle boats and the freedom to dive their own skill set and their own pace, Dive Bus is best and their amazing reef doesn't hurt either.
