Sitting watching the small waves crash on the beach and writing this...
gotta love waking up and drinking your coffee on the porch and hearing
the ocean every morning and all day. anways, the diving is fantastic.
water is about 79 or 80 and the vis is great.
so far we have dove out front of All West a few times, great life if you swim out
to the left and bigger plate corals. lots of small turtles around swimming.

Playa Mansalina great dive off the beatin path few min swim out with lots of big
sponges and plate corals, saw a nice spoted eagle ray here.

Playa Largu nice spot long broken coral beach so be carefull walking
short swim out steeper wall and sandy spots inbetween all the coral
made for a nice 2 tank dive.

Porto Mari is allways nice easy dive saw a few stingrays swiming along the edge here
and some big green moray eels. lots of small fish life hanging in the water just above you
the entire dive.

Playa Hundu is one of are favorites, very short swim out and even steeper wall. easy to
navigate if you find the rope laying inbetween the sand valleys. saw some small
turtles here along with spoted ray that stuck around for a 20second photo opp.

took alot of tries to get this photo

79-80 sounds pretty cool to me too. I would think it is 84 degrees. That is what I am counting on in Bonaire next week.

I will be happy to supply them - even during the trip.

I was prepared for 82-84; we have seen 78-81 in mid December, figured it would be at least a few degrees warmer. :depressed:

water temp is very close to 79-82 my girl is getting chilly after about 45 mins. she says next time to bring a 1 mil.
i was divining in the gulf of mexico 3 weeks ago and it was 84 not even close to that here..

Thanks for the warning aquajon. I was prepared to just bring light neo shorts and top but may toss in the 3/2 full just to be safe.

Laste year will I was there (Thanksgiving) the water temp started at 82 and was 79 by the end of the week. I was
wearing a Bare Full 3mm the entire time. By mid week I was getting chilled on dives. Of course this also was aided by
my diving at least 5 times a day! Looking forward to doing it again this year. Adding a core warmer to my suitcase
this time!!

dove 9-8 Vaersenbaai in the morning, went out to the pontoon and turned watched alot of big yellow tail snappers waiting for a meal in the current. alot of new hard coral growth here, but there is still alot that has died. then dove snake bay next to waterside apartments, great dive and steep wall. lots of big plate corals we were at 60' and you could see the thermocline and drop below it and felt the 2deg temp change.. also while diving i heard a funny noise so i look up and you could acutally here the raindrops hitting the water.

went to Kura Hulanda lodge the other nite sat at the bar and had a reasonably priced dinner off the bar menu.
looking foward to our friday nite dinner at Sol Food.

enjoying a safety stop
