Cuba in Dec?

Hi,

I'm going to be in Cuba for a week in December. Staying in Holguin. I'm looking for some dive shop and dive site recommendations. I have my advanced open water.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

It really depends on what hotel you are staying at in the Holguin area as there are many resorts and some have dive shops attached to them. It is my understanding that everything is pretty much state run with concession contracts but the gov't owns pretty much all the businesses or contracts them out through the hotels. The dive sites will be chosen by the guides and the prices are fairly universal throughout the island. The equipment varies from hotel to hotel as do the types of tanks. You can email your hotel to find out if there is a dive shop on site or if they have on nearby.
