One reason is the theory that Castro had a major part in training Lee Harvey Oswald to assassinate Kennedy. The CIA had made several attempts on Castro and this was his way of paying them back. The American policy of no trade or visitors to Cuba will continue until the day Castro is gone. Once he dies then you will see the U.S. establish relations with Cuba
