Alright, I figured that I would start early this week. :D

I plan to dive CSSP this Saturday and will be looking for buddies.

As of now, the forecast shows Sunny, High 63, Low 43....perfect dry suit weather, but we all know how a forecast this far out can change.

Good luck. Maybe the weather will be nice for you.

What do you think the water temp is these days?

I'm just guessing 50. They were still reporting 52 a couple of weeks ago and we just haven't had cold enough weather to really drop it. Again, I'm just guessing. I'm probably going to run by Lone Star Scuba in the next couple of days for a few odds and ends, and I'll ask them what reports they've been hearing.

I'm a maybe on this one, need to make sure I get some stuff done and get some more cathters for my drysuit

PM sent your way. :)

I want to dive so bad but I'm skeered of the water temp. I'm not sure that I can bundle up enough layers of wetsuit to hang in there.

LOL...hey, I don't blame you for being skeered of the water temp. It gets cold fast and, as you know, bundling of wetsuit layers = tons of weight to sink. I tried to (self-serving) talk Tejas into borrowing my 7mm full suit and then popping my 7mm hooded vest over the top of it, but he was a no go...and I didn't blame him either!

I'd be looking for a used dry suit. :eyebrow:

And, when are you going to pop into the dive club thread that we have going and give us your input, my friend? :)

I'd be tempted in a 7 mil but it is cooooold.

Where is this 'dive club thread'? I'm not familiar with it.

Ahhh yes. I have been watching this thread. I live in Irving...not too far out of FW but then I saw the talk about Gainesville and got run off from the idea. I was reading the Texas Rebel dive club newsletter today. I've never been in a dive club but it sounds like a good way to make some diver friends. Usually we are loners...get to the water, jump in, repeat til tired but that was mostly because we didn't know anybody that dived.
