I say a spare are is all you need, 2 breaths and your fine its only 178 ft. Maybe exhale those 2 breaths into your bc to get up even faster.
After you drop your weights, use what air is in your lungs and your Spare Air to fully inflate your BC. Hold your breath as you kick as fast as you can. It's best if you use split fins too. As you ascend, you need to extend one arm above your head with your index finger pointed and locked out in the Ninja 1-finger death stab position to poke a hole in the ice so your snorkle can stick through. Then, use the 14" blade on your dive knife to cut a hole in the ice big enough to climb out of.
NOTE: Performing the Warhammer Manuever during your ascent may increase your velocity enough to allow you to smash through the ice with your head, but this only works if your mask is on your forehead.
