You spelled CSEA wrong, its CESA - Controlled Emergency Swimming Ascent.:D

Don't forget that he said that he "shed his weights". That would have made it an emergency buoyant ascent. :cool2:

Don't forget he said he was diving in 24*F water which I think we concider this ice! Oh yeah and the .57 '
See you topside! John

You need split fins so you can swim to the surface as fast as possible...

I say a spare are is all you need, 2 breaths and your fine its only 178 ft. Maybe exhale those 2 breaths into your bc to get up even faster.

Why exhale? As he ascents holding his breath, the gas will expand and give him the same amount of lift as it would in the BC.

After you drop your weights, use what air is in your lungs and your Spare Air to fully inflate your BC. Hold your breath as you kick as fast as you can. It's best if you use split fins too. As you ascend, you need to extend one arm above your head with your index finger pointed and locked out in the Ninja 1-finger death stab position to poke a hole in the ice so your snorkle can stick through. Then, use the 14" blade on your dive knife to cut a hole in the ice big enough to climb out of.
NOTE: Performing the Warhammer Manuever during your ascent may increase your velocity enough to allow you to smash through the ice with your head, but this only works if your mask is on your forehead.

You forgot to mention that the air in his tank will also expand exponentially causing a massive explosion at the surface, where he will be blown 1,500 miles to land on the fringes of a white sand tropical beach next to a topless Halle Berry, where he can unzip his drysuit to reveal the immaculate tuxedo beneath, as Halle puts the finishing touches to his Vodka Martini and slips into something more comfortable...
