John is not dum, he will put a limit on how much he can afford just now!

Crown of thorns are dangerous as I know, I got stung on the side of my leg in the muscle some years ago and it took 3 months to heal and several thousand Pesos in tests and antibiotics, I now have a mark on my leg which looks like a bullet hole!

A good use for them would be massage seats for Indian Fakirs!

use them to pad seat cushions and give one each to erring politicians who do not have the delicadeza to quit.

John has now stopped the collection at 5,000. Well done to him, why can the local governments come up with cheap ideas like this to collect Crown of Thorns, Some are planning to work on another area but are waiting for the food budget to be approved! How long will they wait!

Yeah.....we gott'em too....grrrrr
KILL THE COTS!!!

I did discover a way to kill them though......
I normally dive with a stainless steel rod (point, bang on tank, etc.) and punch many holes in them leaving them still in one piece. I throw them into the coral fish and they go wild eating the guts hanging out. They always die after that......
