We used to gather them regularly since they eat and destroy the coral. BUT, since my encounter I have not let any get hauled onto the boat.
Usually gather them in a game bag, then hang the bag on the drop lines, then haul up and put in bucket(they stick BAD out of water) then throw them away on the dock.
There are several sites where we dive that they are taking over.........
