My setup, any suggestions and such

Reads well! Have you gotton in the water with it yet? How does it feel? What about a camera?

I didn't include it, but a Canon rebel. And not yet, just a few days, can't wait. But my BC fits perfectly on me and is a really comfortable setup, out of the water at least.

Reads well!
And thank you, I did it on Excel, but since i don't know how to upload a spreadsheet, i just took a picture and photobucket :P

oh, also, how much would you expect to spend on a kit?

I take it you rent tanks.

If you are happy with your grear it looks complete to me. There might be some things that I would buy differnet but, that is personal choice.

Buy quality gear that will last for years, try to think of where you will be in 5 years so you don't have to buy your gear multiple times.

Just some thoughts. Have a great time with your gear.

Was too lazy to put the tank in there :P

And i would most likely be buying a tank or two.

Speaking of tanks, i had a question, not exactly for myself but in general.

If i were in an over head environment, like a wreck, where an exit is ~1 minute or so, would a 30 cu pony be enough to collect myself and get out of the wreck and to the surface and take a 15ft safety stop?

It could hypothetically be enough, but I sure would not bet my life on it. From slightly inside a very shallow wreck, probably, but inside a deeper wreck... probably not.

Remember, it's not just getting out of the wreck in a "stressed" state, but also finding the mooring line and then making your ascent... this could all take much longer than 1 minute, at depth, breathing at an increased rate...

Really, the best way to answer this type of question is to understand the concept of gas planning, the concept of Rock Bottom. Do a search on this site ("Rock Bottom") and you'll understand.

Enjoy your equipment.

Ditch the snorkel ... but that's just me! ;)
hey, hey, hey, hey!!!
Ditch the buddy-spanker? :11:

(ok, I keep it in the bag, but its still readilly available to spank bad buddies)
