I just purchased a Cressi Ellipse octo and I am getting a lot of freeflow. Does anyone know if this is normal? The regulator is not doing it (An MC5 Black), just the octo.

I do not have this issue with mine. If I get freeflow under water I point the mouthpiece down and it stops. This might happen when I first enter the water but most of the time it doesn't. I also have it hanging from a necklace bungee so the mouthpiece is pointed up.
You might need to get it adjusted.

That octo probably just needs to be adjusted. Take it to a competent tech.
